The Civic Awards Committee and the Mississauga Real Estate Board carefully select the annual recipient. This year, Colin Tyler has been rightfully recognized for his significant contributions to our community.

Colin Tyler’s journey in community service and leadership spans over five decades. His dedication began as the President of the Sheridan Park Royal United Church Youth Group and has continued through his current role as Chair of the ‘Twas the Bite Before Christmas Foundation, which delivers initiatives in Mississauga with the goal of Fighting Hunger, Feeding Hope, and Empowering People In Need. Colin’s influence extends beyond his personal endeavors; through Century AV, he has consistently supported local arts, education, and charity initiatives.

Colin’s impact is seen through his generous sponsorship of community events, his mentorship of students in cooperative education programs, and his unwavering support for local schools and charities. His leadership within the Mississauga Board of Trade and numerous community associations has made a lasting difference, proving that corporate social responsibility can significantly enhance community well-being.
